Bah
So, I just got back online after a week's absence, with a ton of things to do, only to find that IJ seems to have deleted all my custom colours. I'm still trying to tweak the settings so I can see all the bits of text...

And I'm missing LJ's option to post from my own front page. I'm not sure if there's a more elegant way of doing so than going via my userinfo, save setting up a Firefox shortcut (though that'll only work from this computer...)

*glares at Tweak*

Hard-coded colours: clumsy, but effective.
(Though I thought I had it sorted last time, too. Must learn to use styles properly one day!)

Oh, yours too! I thought that was a glitch, or that I maybe messed with the options and did it myself... On the upside, I realised that I was pretty bored with my LJ custom colours too (which I'd originally just exported).

Oh, so it happened to you too? How odd. I'm not sure whether that's reassuring, or not. :)

I was admiring your elegant new layout earlier today - especially the rainbow comments boxes and rounded corners. Very classy!

And - I was going to say that in an e-mail but now that you're here don't want to let it go unsaid - THANK YOU for the book. That was a lovely surprise to come back to. I'm enjoying reading it, though I'm not yet sure whether I'll take it on the train journey with my parents tomorrow... More later in a less public forum.

I feel rather up in the air at the moment about coming to Edinburgh. Something better discussed in person or e-mail... but I'm thinking there's something else I need to do, and that it's better to do it before settling back into my flat. So I might not get to Edinburgh until Feb or Sept 2009... but I'm hoping if you're there for the duration we'll still overlap by a couple of years. And the 'something else' would be much closer to Edinburgh than I am now.

I really, really want to come up to Edinburgh this Autumn, though - perhaps during Advent for the Christmas market and atmosphere, but I'm thinking also/or near the start of October - I don't to disturb you when you're settling in, but I'd love to see you and introduce you to Litha (though I'll have to check how best to do that with her current human slave, who is a little less comfortable meeting new people than you are ;)

And I don't know how you're planning to get to Edinburgh, but if you'd like to stop off here on the way you'd be more than welcome.

Ah, *peers down at comments*, now it makes sense. But I like the black-and-white scheme, and will stay with it (the identical layout on IJ and LJ confused me badly about what I was reading...).

You're welcome :). I'm curious what you think once you're done.

Oh, I'll always love to see you, settling in or not (I'll probably be grateful for distraction). And you can of course always email me with anything, or we'll talk when I see you next. I'll be flying to London and catching the next train to E. on the 25th (which already feels frightfully late considering that I'll have to do flat-hunting), so I'm not going to manage a stop, I'm afraid... Which is a pity, really!

I've seen a lot of people mention that. It seems to be due to the move to a new server.

Hmmm. Well, good if they're upgrading the server, I guess, but I hope this isn't going to be a regular occurence. I could have done without the 90 mins spent on restoration this afternoon.

Let's see if I can't dig up the link for you... Oh, yes, here it is, though this user was rather cavalier about it :) There are several more people mentioning it on page three.
